Amidst a gathering of Muslim nations in Qatar, US Secretary Marco Rubio has landed in Israel. He and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu toured the Western Wall in Jerusalem. The visit comes as tensions rise following actions in Qatar. Rubio’s focus is on securing the return of hostages, ensuring humanitarian aid reaches civilians, and addressing the threat posed by Hamas. He will attend a meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding the hostages. Rubio is scheduled to meet with Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar and President Isaac Herzog. A Doha-based Arab-Islamic summit is also planned.
