The Saudi Royal Family mourns the loss of Prince Alwaleed bin Khaled bin Talal, who died at 36 after a twenty-year struggle following a tragic car accident. The accident occurred in London in 2005, when the prince was a young student. He sustained severe injuries that left him in a coma. His father, Prince Khaled bin Talal, remained devoted to his son’s care, refusing to remove life support, reflecting a deep faith. The prince was known as the ‘Sleeping Prince’ due to his long period of unconsciousness. He was the son of Prince Khaled bin Talal Al Saud and nephew of the prominent businessman, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. His funeral was held in Riyadh, following Islamic tradition.
