Donald Trump has made serious accusations against the United Nations following a recent appearance at the UN General Assembly. He claimed that he was the target of a deliberate ‘triple sabotage,’ citing an escalator failure, a teleprompter breakdown, and audio problems during his speech. The former president described the events as highly suspicious and demanded a thorough investigation by the UN Secretary-General. The escalator reportedly halted as Trump and Italian PM Giorgia Meloni were riding it. Trump stated that the malfunction could have resulted in a fall and called it a conspiracy. During his address, the teleprompter failed, leading him to deliver a speech without it. Additionally, he reported that the audio system was not working, preventing many people from hearing his address. Trump has requested that all evidence, including security footage, be preserved. The UN has explained that the escalator incident was due to a safety mechanism. The White House has also weighed in, suggesting severe consequences for anyone found to have intentionally interfered with the events.
