Sources indicate that Donald Trump is planning a visit to South Korea in late October to attend the APEC summit. A key element of this trip could be a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. This potential encounter comes as the two nations navigate a complex relationship, complicated by trade disputes. The possibility of a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is also being explored. Previously, Xi Jinping invited Trump and his wife to visit China. During a recent meeting at the White House, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung invited Trump to the APEC summit and proposed a meeting between Trump and Kim. Trump has met Kim Jong Un three times during his previous term in office. Trump’s South Korea visit is happening at a time when his relations with Xi and Kim are at a sensitive stage.
