President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the necessity of using “language of force” in dealing with Russia, as he believes it’s the only effective means of communication. He expressed this view in a video message on X, underlining the importance of this approach in upcoming international engagements. Zelenskyy is focused on the upcoming June summits and is working to ensure they are impactful. He specifically mentioned the G7 Summit in Canada and the NATO Summit in the Netherlands, noting that significant meetings and negotiations will take place in Ukraine in the coming weeks. Canada will host the G7 Summit from June 15 to 17, 2025, and Prime Minister Modi has been invited to attend. Zelenskyy also commented on the failed prisoner exchange, which was postponed due to disagreements. He stated that Ukraine is actively working to secure the release of its prisoners of war and the return of fallen soldiers. He criticized Russia for not providing the full lists for the exchange, as agreed upon in Istanbul, and accused Russia of turning the situation into a political game.
